SpendWise - Budgets & Cards Privacy Policy

SpendWise stores the expense and budget information you choose to add, including expense amounts, merchants, dates, categories, payment methods, monthly budgets, category budgets, currency preference, appearance preference, reminder preference, and onboarding/subscription status.

Credit card tracking stores manually entered card labels, cycle limits, statement days, due days, color styling, and expense links. It is designed for manual budgeting only. SpendWise does not require bank login credentials, bank account numbers, or real credit card numbers.

SpendWise uses SwiftData for local storage in an app group container so the main app and SpendWise widgets can read the same app data.

The app is configured to use SwiftData with CloudKit/iCloud when available. If iCloud is unavailable, the app falls back to local storage. iCloud data is governed by your Apple ID, iCloud settings, and Apple services.

Widgets do not perform CloudKit sync themselves. They read from the shared app group store that the main app maintains.

The app may store local diagnostic status messages, such as model-container or widget-container errors, on your device to help the app recover or continue running. These messages are not sent to a developer-operated server by the current app.

SpendWise does not connect to banks or financial institutions.

SpendWise does not ask for or store real card numbers, bank account numbers, online banking usernames, or online banking passwords.

SpendWise does not sell your personal data.

SpendWise does not use your expense data for advertising or third-party tracking.

The current app does not include ads, analytics SDKs, third-party tracking SDKs, or a developer-operated backend for expense data.

If you enable reminders, SpendWise may use local notifications to remind you to log expenses.

Widgets may display spending or budget information on your device. Widget content is generated from your app data on your device and/or synced app data available to the app.

SpendWise may offer a paid plan or subscription with a free trial. Purchases, trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store.

SpendWise does not receive or store your full payment card details from Apple.

The app includes a Delete All Data option that deletes expenses, category monthly budgets, categories, monthly budgets, credit cards, and settings from the app's SwiftData store.

If iCloud sync is active, deletion may sync through iCloud according to Apple's CloudKit/iCloud behavior. You may also manage iCloud app data through your Apple ID and iCloud storage settings.
