SpendWise - Budgets & Cards Terms of Use

Effective date: June 15, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of SpendWise - Budgets & Cards. By using the app, you agree to these terms.

Use of SpendWise

SpendWise is provided as a personal productivity and spending awareness tool. It helps you manually record expenses, manage monthly and category budgets, view spending insights, track credit card billing cycles, use widgets, and configure reminders.

SpendWise is not a bank, financial institution, payment processor, accounting firm, tax advisor, investment advisor, or credit service.

No financial advice

SpendWise provides information based on the data you enter. The app does not provide financial, legal, tax, credit, investment, or accounting advice.

You are responsible for reviewing your own financial situation and making your own financial decisions.

Manual data entry and accuracy

SpendWise relies on manual entry. You are responsible for the accuracy of expenses, budgets, categories, card names, statement days, due days, cycle limits, and other information you add.

Credit card cycle tracking is an estimate based on the information you provide. You should verify balances, due dates, payments, and statements directly with your card issuer.

Bank and card information

SpendWise does not require bank connections, online banking credentials, bank account numbers, or real credit card numbers.

Any card feature in SpendWise is for manual labeling and cycle tracking only. Do not enter sensitive full card numbers or banking passwords into app fields.

iCloud sync and device settings

SpendWise uses SwiftData for app storage and is configured to use CloudKit/iCloud when available. If iCloud is unavailable, the app may continue with local storage.

Widgets read from the shared app group store maintained by the main app. Widgets do not independently perform CloudKit sync.

Sync availability depends on your Apple ID, device settings, network connection, iCloud storage, and Apple services.

SpendWise cannot guarantee that iCloud sync will always be uninterrupted, immediate, or error-free.

Paid access, trial, and subscriptions

SpendWise may be offered as a paid app or subscription with a 14-day free trial.

Purchases, free trials, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms and policies.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse SpendWise, attempt to reverse engineer it except where permitted by law, interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes.

You are responsible for maintaining access to your device, Apple ID, iCloud account, and backups.

Changes and availability

SpendWise may change over time. Features may be added, modified, paused, or removed as the app evolves.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will be available at this URL.

Limitation of liability

SpendWise is provided as-is and as-available to the maximum extent permitted by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for financial losses, missed payments, overdrafts, late fees, inaccurate entries, sync issues, data loss, or decisions made based on information shown in the app.
